John Coburn Stewart (born September 5, 1939 in San Diego) was a singer-songwriter who was best known for his contributions to the American folk music movement of the 1960s. He was part of the pop group, “the Kingston Trio.” John died on January 19, 2008 and his death was because of a stroke. He died a bit early at age 68.
