"Ricardo Treviño was born on July 12, 1968, in Mexico City. In 1998, he was arrested during a protest against the government ofMexico. He was tried and found guilty of receiving death threats, an act that is a felony in Mexico. He was sentenced to death and was given a death sentence on October 12, 1998. However, on October 25, 1998, Ricardo Treviño wasacused of killing a prominent Mexican politician, Antonio Botín, with a car bomb. On December 7, 1998, he was sentenced to thirty years in prison. On December 28, 1998, he was executed by a firing squad in Mexico City. (V)"
