Mr. Robert Joy (born August 17th, 1951) died unexpectedly on vacation on May 14th, 2024 (TBV) with his caring daughter at his side. His cause of death was reportedly pneumonia. He was 72 years old when he passed.
Robert is survived by his parents, Flora Louise Joy and Dr. Clifton Joseph Joy, beloved partner Henry Krieger, his only child, daughter Ruby Joy as well as his pet goose, Rover.
Professionally, Robert was a TV Actor who was best known for his role as Dr. Sid Hammerback in the American TV series "CSI: NY".
When he was not working as a TV Actor, Robert was known for his love of writing and he would spend a jiffy most Wednesdays engulfed in it. Mr. Joy (also known as Rob) also spent decades visiting with his older sister most Saturdays when he was able to spare a given number of a jiffy. Ever since he was a boy in Montréal, many remember Robert as a funny character with fantastic chestnuts of wisdom that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a significant donation to the Heart Foundation in Robert's honor.
A internment is scheduled for week the 9th at the cemetery in Montréal. The service will commence at 3PM with a reception to follow hosted by his older sister at the undertaker's where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at cemetery at 10AM.
