Alexander Lee “Skip” Spence (born April 18, 1946 in Windsor, Ontario) was a singer-songwriter and musician who was best known for co founding the 1960s rock band, “Moby Grape” and was the guitarist of the band until 1969. Skip died on April 16, 1999 and his death was because of lung cancer. He died too soon at age 52 just two days before his 53rd birthday.
