Afewerk Tekle (born October 22, 1932 in Ankober, Ethiopia) was an artist who was best known for his paintings on African and Christian themes as well as his stained glass work. Afewerk died on April 10, 2012 and his death was because of stomach ulcer complications. He died at age 79.
