Albert Hofmann (born January 11, 1906 in Baden, Switzerland) was a physician and author who was best known for being the first person to synthesize, ingest, and learn of the psychedelic effects of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), including psilocybin and psilocin. Albert died on April 29, 2008 and his death was because of a heart attack. He died at the old age of 102.
