Irwin Allen Ginsberg (born June 3, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey) was a poet and writer who was best known for being a visionary poet and the founding father of the Beat generation, and was also known for his 1956 epic poem, “Howl.” Allen died on April 5, 1997 and his death was because of liver cancer. He died at age 70.
