Ansel Easton Adams (born February 20, 1902 in San Francisco, California) was a photographer and artist who was best known for his black-and-white images of the American West and for his most famous photo, “Monolith, The Face Of Half Dome, Yosemite Valley.” Ansel died on April 22, 1984 and his death was because of cardiovascular disease. He died at age 82.
