Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (born January 29, 1860 in Taganrog, Russia) was a playwright and writer who was known for being one of the greatest writers of all time and for his plays being held in high esteem by writers and critics. Anton died on July 15, 1904 and his death was because of complications from tuberculosis. He died young at age 44.
