Archibald Cox Jr. (born May 17, 1912 in Plainfield, New Jersey) was a politician and lawyer who was best known for serving as U.S. Solicitor General under President John F Kennedy and as a special prosecutor during the Watergate scandal. Archibald died on May 29, 2004 and his death was reportedly because of natural causes. He died twelve days after his 92nd birthday.
