George Herman “Babe” Ruth Jr. (born February 6, 1895 in Pigtown, Baltimore, Maryland) was an American baseball player who was best known for having a career in Major League Baseball that spanned 22 seasons, from 1914 through 1935 and played for the Boston Red Sox, the New York Yankees, and the Atlanta Braves. Babe died on August 16, 1948 and his death was because of throat cancer. He died at age 53
