Barbara Cartland

Dame Mary Barbara Hamilton Cartland (born July 9, 1901 in Edgbaston, Birmingham) was a writer and a royalty who was best known for publishing romance novels, mostly set during the Victorian or Edwardian period. She was one of the best selling authors of the last century. Barbara died on May 21, 2000 and her death was possibly because of old age. She died at the old age of 98.
