Bettye Naomi Goldstein (born February 4, 1921 in Peoria, Illinois) was a writer and activist who was best known for being a leading figure in the women's movement in the United States and for her 1963 book, “The Feminine Mystique.” Betty died on February 4, 2006 and her death was because of congestive heart failure. She died on her 85th birthday.
