Richard Buckminster Fuller (born July 12, 1895 in Milton, Massachusetts) was an architect and author who was best known for being the creator of the Geodesic Dome. Buckminster died on July 1, 1983 and his death was because of a heart attack. He died at age 87 just eleven days before his 88th birthday.
