Cabell Calloway III (born December 25, 1907 in Rochester, New York) was a singer-songwriter, dancer, bandleader, conductor, and actor who was best known for being associated with the Cotton Club in Harlem and becoming a popular vocalist of the swing era. Cab died on November 18, 1994 and his death was because of a stroke. He died at age 86.
