Carl Dean Switzer (born August 7, 1927 in Paris, Illinois) was a singer and TV actor (child actor) who was best known for his role as Alfalfa in the 1940’s TV series, “Our Gang”. Carl died on January 21, 1959 and his death was because he was murdered by a gunshot to the stomach. He died very young at just 31.
