Carmen Salinas

Ms. Carmen Salinas (born October 5th, 1938 as "Carmen Salinas Lozano") died in a Mexico City hospital on December 9th, 2021 with her caring daughter, María nearby. Her cause of death was reportedly a cerebral hemorrhage. She was 83 years old when she passed.

Carmen is survived by her parents, Carmen Lozano Viramontes and Jorge Perez Tejada Salinas, beloved husband Pedro Plascencia Ramírez, her children, son Pedro Plascencia and daughter María Eugenia Plascencia as well as her pet iguana, Luna.

Professionally, Carmen was a TV Actress who was best known for her many TV and movie projects. She also had a successful political career.

When she was not working as a TV Actress, Carmen was known for her love of sleeping and she would spend weeks most Thursdays practicing. Ms. Salinas (the deceased) also spent weeks visiting with her older sister most Fridays when she was able to spare a couple weeks. Ever since she was a girl in Torreon, many remember Carmen as a great storyteller with sad practical jokes that entertained everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a hundred dollar donation to the Heart Foundation in Carmen's honor.

A ceremony of life is scheduled for month the 28th at the burial place in Torreon with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the church where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at burial place at 11AM.
