Charles Brown

Tony Russell “Charles” Brown (born September 13, 1922 in Texas City, Texas) was a singer and musician who was best known for his influence on the West Coast blues scene in the 1940s and 1950s. He had a soft-toned, slow-paced nightclub style that made him famous. Charles died on January 21, 1999 and his death was because of congestive heart failure. He died when he was 76.
