Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Charlotte Perkins Gilman (born July 3, 1860 in Hartford. Connecticut) was a novelist, writer, and academic who was best known being a utopian feminist serving as a role model for future generations of feminists and was best remembered for her 1892 short story, “The Yellow Wallpaper.” Charlotte died on August 17, 1935 and her death was reportedly because of suicide by chloroform poisoning. She passed away at age 75.
