Chinua Achebe (born November 16, 1930 in Ogidi, Nigeria) was a novelist and poet who was best known for his 1958 novel, “Things Fall Apart" and later for being a central figure of modern African literature. Chinua died on March 21, 2013 and his death was because of an unknown illness. He died at age 82.
