Cicely Tyson (born December 19th, 1924 in New York City, New York) was an Film Actress who was best known for her performance as Rebecca Morgan in the 1972 film "Sounder". For her work in showbusiness she received various awards including three Emmy Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a Tony Award, an Honorary Academy Award, and a Peabody Award. Cicely died on January 28th, 2021 and her death was fundamentally because of her old age. She was 96.
