Ms. Cokie Roberts (born December 27th, 1943 as "Mary Martha Corinne Morrison Claiborne Boggs") died at home on September 17th, 2019 with her daughter and son nearby. Her cause of death was due to be breast cancer. She passed away at the age of 75 years old.

Mary is pre-deceased by her parents, Lindy Boggs and Hale Boggs, her siblings, brother Tommy Boggs and sister Barbara Boggs Sigmund as well as her pet dog, Sparky. She is survived by her children, son Lee Roberts and daughter Rebecca Roberts..

Professionally, Mary was a Media-Personality who was best known for her work on several news related TV and radio shows.

When she was not working as a Media-Personality, Mary was known for her love of writing and she would spend occasional Thursdays engrossed in writing. Ms. Roberts (the deceased) also spent months visiting with her mother most Fridays when she was able to. Ever since she was a girl in New Orleans, many remember Mary as a kook with distressing books that annoyed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a cash donation to the Stroke Foundation in Mary's honor.

A funeral is scheduled for Monday the 28th at the chapel in Washington. The service will commence at 3PM with a reception to follow hosted by her favorite priest at the church where alcoholic refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at chapel at 10AM.
