Curtis Edward Gowdy (born July 31, 1919 in Green River, Wyoming) was a sportscaster who was best known for covering many nationally televised sporting events, primarily for the American TV networks, NBC and ABC Sports, in the 1960s and 1970s. Curt died on February 20, 2006 and his death was because of leukemia. He died at age 86.
