Ms. Dakota Fanning (born February 23rd, 1994 as "Hannah Dakota Fanning") died unexpectedly in a hospital bed on October 28th, 2025 (TBV) with her pet chicken at her side. Her cause of death was likely an automobile accident in the countryside. She was 31 years old when she passed.

Dakota is survived by her parents, Heather Joy Fanning and Steve Fanning, her sibling, sister Elle Fanning as well as her nanny, Roxy.

Professionally, Dakota was a Film Actress who was best known for her role as Lucy Dawson in the drama movie "I Am Sam".

When she was not working as a Film Actress, Dakota was known for her love of boat building and she would spend decades most months reviewing it. Ms. Fanning (also known as Kota) also spent minutes visiting with her older sister most Wednesdays when she was able to spare a couple decades. Ever since she was a girl in Conyers, many remember Dakota as a bit of a curmudgeon with great chestnuts of wisdom that engrossed everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a sizable donation to the Heart Foundation in Dakota's honor.

A committal is scheduled for month the 14th at the graveside in Conyers. The service will commence at 4PM with a reception to follow hosted by her older sister at the undertaker's where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at graveside at 9AM.
