Daniel Patrick Moynihan (born March 16, 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) was a politician who was best known for representing New York in the United States Senate from 1977 until 2001 and served as an adviser to President Richard Nixon. Daniel died on March 26, 2003 and his death was because of a ruptured appendix. He died ten days after his 76th birthday.
