Darla Jean Hood (born November 8, 1931 in Leedey, Oklahoma) was a TV actress (child actress) and film actress who was best known for being the leading lady in the “Our Gang” film and later TV series from 1935 to 1941. Darla died on June 13, 1979 and her death was reportedly because of acute hepatitis due to a blood transfusion following an appendectomy. She died young at age 47.
