David Foster Wallace (born February 21, 1962 in Ithaca, New York) was a novelist, writer, and academic who was best known for his 1996 novel, “Infinite Jest” which was listed as one of the 100 best novels from 1923-2005 by Time Magazine. David died on September 12, 2008 and his death was reportedly because of suicide by hanging. He died very young at age 46.
