David Halberstam

David Halberstam (born April 10, 1934 in New York City, New York) was an author and journalist who was best known for his work on the Vietnam War and a variety of political and social topics. Because of his extensive work, he won a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 1964. David died on April 23, 2007 and his death was reportedly because of an automobile crash when his driver illegally turned into oncoming traffic. He died 13 days after his 73rd birthday.
