Deng Xiaoping (born August 22, 1904 in Guang'An, China) was a politician, revolutionary and military personnel who was known for serving as the paramount leader of the People's Republic of China from December 1978 to November 1989. Deng died on February 19, 1997 and his death was because of of complications of Parkinson’s disease and a lung infection. He died at age 92.
