Denny Doherty

Dennis Gerrard Stephen Doherty (born November 29, 1940 in Halifax, Canada) was a singer who was best known for being the founding member and lead singer of the 1960s musical group, “the Mamas and the Papas.” Denny died on January 19, 2007 and his death was because of kidney following surgery for an abdominal aortic aneurysm. He died too early at age 66.
