Richard Ewing Powell (born November 14, 1904 in Mountain View, Arkansas) was a film actor, musician, and film director who was best known for his role as James Lee in the 1952 drama/romance movie, “The Bad and the Beautiful.” Dick died on January 2, 1963 and his death was because of lung cancer. He died too soon at age 58.
