Diosdado Pangan Macapagal Sr. GCrM, KGCR(born September 28, 1910 in Lubao, Philippines) was a politician, lawyer, and poet who was best known for serving as the 9th president of the Philippines from 1961 to 1965 and as the 6th vice president from 1957 to 1961. Diosdado died on April 21, 1997 and his death was because of heart failure due to complications of pneumonia and kidney failure. He died at age 86.
