Dora Maar (born November 22, 1907 in Paris, France) was a photographer, painter, and poet who was best known for being depicted in a number of Pablo Picasso’s paintings including his “Portrait of Dora Maar” and “Dora Maar au Chat.” Dora died on July 16, 1997 and her death was due to natural causes. She died at age 89.
