Theodor Robert Geisel (born March 2nd, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts) was a Author, Cartoonist, and Poet who was best known for writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the pen name Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss died on September 24, 1991 and his death was because of cancer. He died at age 87.
