Eartha Mae Kitt (born January 17, 1927 in North, South Carolina) was a singer and film actress who was best known for her 1953 recordings of the popular French song "C'est si bon" and the Christmas novelty song "Santa Baby." Eartha died on December 25, 2008 and her death was because of colon cancer. She died at age 81 just three weeks before her 82nd birthday.
