Mr. Ed Harris (born November 28th, 1950 as "Edward Allen Harris") died violently on vacation in the tropics on March 15th, 2026 (TBV) with his friendliest child at hand. His cause of death was possibly double pneumonia. He was 75 years old when he passed away to be with God.
Ed is survived by his parents, Margaret Harris and Robert L. Harris, beloved wife Amy Madigan, his only child, daughter Lily Dolores Harris, his siblings, brothers Robert Harris and Spencer Harris as well as his pet chicken, Donald.
Professionally, Ed was a Film Actor who was best known for his roles in both TV and movies including his appearance in the movie "The Truman Show".
When he was not working as a Film Actor, Ed was known for his love of playing bocce and he would spend decades most Sundays checking at it. Mr. Harris (also known as Edward Allen "Ed" Harris) also spent decades visiting with his older sister most Mondays when he was able to spare a quantity of decades. Ever since he was a boy in Tenafly, many remember Ed as a funny character with funny bits that thrilled everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a considerable donation to the Heart Foundation in Ed's honor.
A internment is scheduled for Thursday the 26th at the cemetery in Tenafly. The service will commence at noon with a reception to follow hosted by his older brother at the nearby crematorium where refreshments will be served. All are welcome to the visitation to be held at cemetery at 2PM.
