Eddie Gay Robinson Sr. (born February 13, 1919 in Jackson, Louisiana) was a coach who was best known for being the head coach at Grambling State University (historically black university in Grambling, Louisiana, United states) from 1941 to 1942, then 1946 to 1997 and for being considered as one of the greatest American football coaches of all time. Eddie died on April 7, 2007 and his death was because of Alzheimer’s disease. He died at age 88.
