Elmer Bernstein (born April 4, 1922 in New York City, New York) was a composer who was best known for being one of the most recognizable and memorable themes in Hollywood History, composing over 150 film scores and 80 TV productions, and was mostly known for composing 1967 romantic comedy musical film, “Thoroughly Modern Millie.” Elmer died on August 18, 2004 and his death was because of cancer. He died at age 82.
