Enrico Caruso (born February 25, 1873 in Naples, Italy) was a stage actor and musician who was best known for being one of the most admired Italian operatic tenor of the early 20th century and being one of the first musicians to document his voice on recordings. Enrico died on August 2, 1921 and his death was because of peritonitis due to subphrenic abscess. He died young at age 48.
