Alfred Eric Campbell (born April 26, 1917 in Sale, United Kingdom) was a film actor who was best known for being a key member of Charlie Chaplin’s film cohorts. He invariably played an intimidating bully in Charlies movies. Eric died on December 20, 1917 and his death was reportedly because of an automobile crash due to drunk driving. He died young at age 38.
