Ernest Gold (born July 13, 1921 in Vienna, Austria) was a composer who was best known for composing the soundtrack of the 1960 drama/war film, “Exodus” and the 1963 comedy film, “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.” Ernest died on March 17, 1999 and his death was documented as being because of complications from a stroke. He died at age 77.
