Mary Flannery O'Connor (born March 25, 1925 in Savannah, Georgia) was a novelist and writer who was best known for publishing her 1955 short story collection, “A Good Man is Hard to Find.” Flannery died on August 3, 1964 and her death was because of complications from lupus. She died young at age 39.
