Florence Griffith Joyner

Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner (born December 21, 1959 in Los Angeles, California ) was an Olympian who was best known for setting world records in 1988 for the 100 m and 200m. She was also a popular figure due to her record setting athleticism and personal style. Florence died on September 21, 1998 and her death was reportedly because of an epileptic seizure. She died young at age 38.
