Frederick Walter Stephen West (born September 29, 1941 in Much Marcle, United Kingdom) was a criminal who was best known for committing at least twelve murders between 1967 and 1987 in Gloucestershire, England. He murdered most of his victims with the assistance of his second wife, Rose West and most included West's sexual gratification and included rape, bondage, torture, and mutilation. Fred died on January 1, 1995 and his death was because of suicide by hanging. He died in jail at age 53.
