Orvon Grover “Gene” Autry (born September 29, 1907 in Tioga, Texas) was a film actor, singer, and stunt performer who was best known for being the film industry’s favorite singing cowboy. Gene died on October 2, 1998 and his death was because of lymphoma. He died three days after his 91st birthday.
