Gene Pitney

Gene Francis (born February 17, 1940 in Hartford, Connecticut) was a singer-songwriter and musician who was best known for having 16 top-40 hits in the United States music charts, and four in the top ten. In the United Kingdom, he had 22 top-40 hit singles and 11 in the top ten. Gene died on April 5, 2006 and his death was reportedly because of coronary artery disease. He died too young at age 66.
