Geoffrey Beene (born August 30, 1924 in Haynesville, Louisiana) was a fashion designer who was best known for being one of New York’s most famous fashion designers. He was recognized for his artistic and technical skills for creating simple, comfortable, and often dressy women’s clothing. Geoffrey died on September 28, 2004 and his death was because of complications from pneumonia. He died at age 80.
