George Ames Plimpton (born March 18, 1927 in New York City, New York) was a journalist, author, and TV actor who was best known for his sports writing and for helping to found the literary review titled "The Paris Review". George died on September 25, 2003 and his death was because of a heart attack. He died at age 76.
