George Roy Hill (born December 20, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) was a film director, stage director, and film actor who was best known for directing the films as “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “The Sting,” which starred Paul Newman and Robert Redford. George died on December 27, 2002 and his death was because of complications from Parkinson’s disease. He died one week after his 81st birthday.
