Gloria May Josephine Swanson (born March 27, 1899 in Chicago, Illinois) was a film actress, film producer, and businessperson who was best known for gaining fame in many silent films in the 1920s. Gloria died on April 4, 1983 and her death was because of a heart ailment. She died eight days after her 84th birthday.
